Who we are looking for:
We're seeking a versatile and adaptable Web Engineer who thrives on working with diverse technologies rather than being limited to a single platform or language. We value engineers who understand the full lifecycle of web development, from concept to deployment and maintenance. You should be comfortable tackling challenges across the stack and collaborating effectively.
Specifically, we expect you to have:

Polyglot Programming Skills: Demonstrable experience and proficiency in several programming languages. We frequently work with or value knowledge in Node.js, PHP, Elixir, and Go Lang. Strong JavaScript skills are fundamental.
Solid Frontend Foundations: Proven experience with core web technologies like HTML and CSS, including building responsive layouts that work across devices and implementing CSS animations.
CMS Expertise: Hands-on experience with a variety of Content Management Systems (CMS). Significant expertise with WordPress is highly important, given its current use within our projects.
Full-Stack Capability: The ability to design and build websites and web applications "from the ground up," demonstrating an understanding of web architecture beyond just using CMS templates.
Infrastructure Fundamentals: Basic knowledge and practical experience with configuring and managing components like web hosting, DNS, basic Linux server configuration, and deployment processes. An appreciation for web security best practices is essential.
Collaborative Spirit: Experience working effectively alongside designers, SEO specialists, and potentially other marketing or technical stakeholders to bring projects to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality websites and web applications.
Work extensively with various CMS platforms, particularly WordPress, including customization, theme/plugin development, and troubleshooting.
Build new web solutions from concept through implementation, potentially without relying on existing CMS frameworks.
Collaborate closely with design teams to translate UI/UX designs into functional web experiences.
Work with SEO specialists to implement technical SEO requirements.
Manage and configure aspects of the web infrastructure, including hosting environments, DNS settings, and basic server tasks.
Ensure websites are responsive, performant, and adhere to security best practices.
Diagnose and resolve bugs and performance issues across the web stack.

Nice to Have:

Experience with cloud hosting platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Advanced knowledge of web security principles and mitigation techniques.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
Experience with database management (SQL, NoSQL).
Previous experience in e-commerce platforms or the beverage/wine industry.

Working language:

English is the primary and official working language.
Proficiency in Romanian or Russian is a plus but not mandatory.

This position can be based in either Chișinău, Moldova or Bucharest, Romania.
